Well, in this Busby SEO Test Contest I see many of my competitor positions are drop. After look at carefully for what have they done to their page, I think I know the answer. They over optimize on their dummy blog.
So, what are Offpage Optimization ?
Off page Optimization are techniques you can use to help improve your Search Engine rankings and performance for your target keywords. In simple words, you optimize your site on other sites and not your own.
If you think your Onpage optimization are well optimize, you can move on to Off-page optimization by making dummy blog. But, be wise, or your blog positions will drop. Dummy blog, is the other ways to raise your blog positions, YES it’s true. But, remember this dummy can make your positions worst, if you over optimize on them.
What can be done to work on offpage optimization :
- Dummy Blog,
- Article distribution,
- Social networking,
- Link campaigns,
- Directory listings,
- Link exchanges,
- Forum Posting.
Let’s talk more about dummy blog.
- Over linking, I see a lot of people over link on their dummy blog. For an example, making more than one link to their main blog in one post with the same link and anchor. DO you think it’s work ? NO. I have tested this method, and it’s not work for me. And this “style” make my blog getting worst in search engine positions.
- Use same title : Void to use same title for the keyword target on your dummy blog. When your dummy blog getting more power, it possibly outrank your main blog.
- Be wise on using Bold, and Italic Word, do not use underline text, ’cause it’s not valid anymore. Use just one on your post. And make your anchor text with Bold text and link to your main blog.
- Work Under Radar, if you want to make a progress under your competitor radar, do not just link to your main blog from your dummy blog. I’m really sure they will watch your move and follow your step as soon as possible.
