Android Ranks Last In Open Governance Index [Study Says Google Android's Relative Lack Of Transparency Makes It Least Open Of All Open-Source Platforms]

A study by market research firm VisionMobile pegs Google Android as the least open among eight open-source platforms included in the analysis. Partly funded by the European Union, the Open Governance Index analyzed the openness of Eclipse, WebKit, Firefox, MeeGo, the Linux Kernel, Symbian (during the time it was open source), and of course, Android.
