This next story is proof that producers can find a reason to base a movie on just about anything: Lionsgate has acquired the rights to make a Dead Island movie, but instead of taking their inspiration from the finished product, Lionsgate has decided to base the movie on the first teaser trailer released for the game way back in February 2011.
